Safeguarding at AirCarers Companion
Our Safeguarding Policy (v1.1) sets out how we protect the older adults who receive support through the platform and the companions who provide it, across Hertford, Ware and the SG11 to SG14 area. We follow the six safeguarding principles of the Care Act 2014: empowerment, prevention, proportionality, protection, partnership and accountability. Every companion is enhanced DBS checked, ID verified, reference checked, fully insured and trained in safeguarding and lone working before their first visit, and visits use GPS check in on arrival so families can see the visit has started.
AirCarers Companion is not a CQC regulated care provider and does not deliver personal or clinical care, but we hold ourselves to the safeguarding standards expected of any organisation supporting vulnerable adults. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is David Hall, Founder and Director of Aircarerscompanion Ltd (company number 17175837). To raise a safeguarding concern, or to talk through how we keep visits safe, call 07455 750006 or email lucie@aircarers.co.uk.
