Loneliness is not only an older person's problem. Adults of any age can end up isolated after an illness, a bereavement, a relationship breakdown, a long stretch out of work, or simply because a disability makes getting out of the house hard. AirCarers Companion connects adults across Hertford, Ware, Hoddesdon, Broxbourne and the surrounding SG11 to SG14, EN10 to EN11, CM21 and CM23 postcodes with vetted, self-employed companions for regular visits, conversation, accompanied outings and a little help around the home.
What a companion offers is company and practical everyday help, built around the person rather than a care plan. What a companion does not offer is personal care, medication, nursing or any clinical task, because those are regulated activities and we are not a CQC registered agency. Every companion is enhanced DBS checked, ID verified, reference checked, insured and trained in safeguarding and lone working.
